A Gainesville, Tennessee, man was arrested after an unlawful transaction with a minor Tuesday.
The Glasgow Police Department arrested the man shortly after midnight at Gorin Park in Glasgow, according to Public Information Officer Terry Flatt.
Officers say they found a parked vehicle inside the park and detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
After speaking with a male subject identified as 38 year-old Andrew Chattin Moore and a female juvenile, officers found marijuana inside the ashtray of the vehicle, drug paraphernalia inside the center console and a loaded handgun inside a backpack.
Officers confirmed that Moore was a convicted felon and had met the female juvenile inside the park, where he gave her marijuana.
Moore was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, Possession of handgun by a convicted felon and Public intoxication of a controlled substance (excludes alcohol).
Moore was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center under a $3,500 cash bond.
