Kentucky State Police Post 03 was notified of a rollover collision on Interstate 65 at the 49.4 mile marker near Park City around 7 a.m. Friday.
A preliminary investigation indicates a red 2015 Kia Sorento was traveling north bound on Interstate 65. The vehicle lost control and went off the left side of the roadway, causing the vehicle to overturn and collide with a tree.
A back seat passenger in the vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Barren County Coroner’s Office. Another passenger in the vehicle was taken to TJ Sampson Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
Kentucky State Police was assisted on the scene by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, Barren County Coroner’s Office and Barren County EMS.
