The Louisville man charged with loading a home with explosives and chemicals appeared in court Monday for a plea hearing, but it was pushed back for a third time.
Marc Hibel, 54, had previously pleaded not guilty to wanton endangerment and burglary charges. Monday morning, the prosecutors said there was a delay in him getting information to put in the deal, only getting the information and sending it to the defense on Friday.
The defense responded saying Hibel has had an illness and was unable to meet on short notice to go over the deal. The Commonwealth said they are hopeful the next hearing will be more fruitful. The defense attorney agreed.
The EPA ultimately demolished the home in October on Applegate Lane in the Highview neighborhood.
Hibel’s next hearing is scheduled for September 12.
