A staff member of the Elizabethtown Independent School District was arrested Tuesday morning after police said she was drunk on school property.
Elizabethtown police said TK Stone Middle School staff saw 49 year-old Tamara Mouser, of Bardstown, on campus and believed her to be intoxicated. This was around 8 a.m. before school started.
The district posted on their Facebook page that one of the middle school administrators and a school resource officer removed Mouser and addressed the issue.
The district said student safety was never in question during this incident. Mouser resigned effective immediately and was charged with public intoxication.
She was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
