The Jefferson County Coroner identified the two people killed in what they called a murder-suicide Sunday.
Louisville police responded to a call of a shooting in the 10200 block of Dodge Lane just before 6 p.m. There, they found a man and woman who had been shot. The woman died before she could be transported, and the man was taken to UofL Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The man was identified as 57-year-old Walter Thomas III and the woman as 30-year-old Hayley Thomas.
The coroner said Walter Thomas killed Hayley Thomas before turning the gun on himself. According to an obituary, he was her father.
