An Indiana man pulled over for not wearing a seat belt near Bardstown ended up behind bars.
The Nelson County Sheriff’s deputy pulled over 32 year-old Anthony Philpott, of New Castle, Indiana, on Tuesday evening for a seat belt violation.
The deputy soon discovered Philpott was driving on a suspended license and didn’t have insurance. When the deputy checked the vehicle registration for the Lincoln Continental, it showed the car had been reported stolen from New Albany.
The deputy also found meth in the car and saw signs of drug impairment.
Philpott faces a long list of charges, including receiving stolen property, driving on a suspended license and failure to wear a seat belt.
