On July 20, the Glasgow Police Department responded to a residential structure fire on 117 Humming Lane.
A deceased female was located inside a bedroom. The female was later identified as Heather M. Berube of Glasgow.
Detective Quentin Phillips with the Glasgow Police Department with assistance from the State Fire Marshall’s Office, Kentucky State Police Arson Investigator, and Engineering Fire & Environmental Services conducted an intense investigation into the fire.
Officials determined the cause of the fire was due to an electrical failure wiring that led to an outside electrical plug.
It was also determined no foul play was suspected and that it was an accidental death.
