Louisville Metro police said a hit-and-run investigation has begun after a man riding a bicycle was killed early Thursday morning.
Officers were called just before 3:15 a.m. to a vehicle collision in the 5500 block of National Turnpike in south Louisville. The man was reportedly hit by a car in the southbound lanes of National Turnpike and died where the crash occurred.
The name of the man hasn’t been released at this time.
The LMPD Traffic Unit is currently working to get information about the suspected driver and vehicle. Anyone with information can call the police department’s anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673) or use the online LMPD Crime Tip Portal.
