Louisville police said they found what appears to be a human skull at a vacant building in the Portland neighborhood.
On September 5, Louisville Metro Police Department said they were called to the 1600 block of Northwestern Parkway around 12:10 p.m. Officers were told by workers that they found the skull at a burned-out building that was being demolished.
The owner of the company said it was incredibly charred and they believe it was in the building when they brought it down. He also said they didn’t find any other bones.
Louisville Metro Arson and LMPD’s Homicide Unit are handling this death investigation. The skull was taken to the Medical Examiner’s office.
LMPD & Louisville Metro Arson are waiting for testing results from the Medical Examiner to determine the exact cause of death.
