A man was arrested Friday afternoon after entering the playground at Stevenson Elementary School in Russellville, prompting a temporary lockdown.
Russellville Police responded to reports of a suspicious individual on the preschool playground, later identifying the man as Tyrone Taylor. Authorities discovered Taylor had a warrant.
As a precaution, the school went into lockdown, though officials with Russellville Independent Schools confirmed students and staff were never in any immediate danger.
In addition to the warrant, Taylor faces additional charges.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office provided assistance during the incident.
