Fort Campbell announced the upcoming deployment of units from the 101st Airborne Division to the Middle East.
The Department of the Army said the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade “Wings of Destiny” will deploy from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, to US Central Command.
They will be replacing the 10th Mountain Division’s Combat Aviation Brigade.
Fort Campbell explains that the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) is a part of the U.S. Army’s effort to pioneer the evolution of vertical envelopment with modern equipment and well-trained soldiers.
