A student was arrested in Breckinridge County Thursday for making threats on Snapchat against the Breckinridge County schools on Wednesday.
Breckinridge County School District Superintendent Nick Carter thanked officers Brad Norwood and Tyler Hardin and all of the law enforcement that worked to make the arrest and said there will be an increased police presence in schools Friday to ensure a smooth transition back to school for students and staff.
Superintendent urges all parents/guardians to have open conversations with their children about the responsible use of social media platforms like Snapchat and the severe consequences that come with inappropriate use.
