
The man arrested over the weekend after he allegedly shot someone in the foot in the Highlands appeared in court Monday morning.
Louisville Metro Police officers were called on Saturday at about 2:40 a.m. to the 900 block of Baxter Avenue. An arrest report states there was surveillance video of the shooting 24 year-old Dino Patterson told police he was firing at a man who was running away from him. The victim was taken to University of Louisville Hospital and expected to live.
Patterson’s bond was originally set at $25,000, but Jefferson County District Court Judge Amber Wolf raised it to $150,000 when he appeared to court on Monday.
Judge Wolf said she she felt the original bond was “inappropriate entirely.”
Judge Wolf said the allegations are someone was shot in relation to this case. These allegations are very serious and it is something that is very concerning to our community, and it presents a danger to our community.
Patterson was booked at the Louisville Metro Department Corrections on the following charges:
Second-degree assault (one count)
First-degree wanton endangerment (six counts)
Discharging a firearm/other device upon/across a public place (one count)
Patterson’s next court date is scheduled for Tuesday, October 15.
