
Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside vehicle that had hit a tree in the city’s California neighborhood Friday afternoon.
Officers were called to the area of West Kentucky Street and Salem Avenue on a reported crash involving a car and a tree around 2:45 p.m., LMPD spokesperson John Bradley said in a statement.
Once on scene, they found a car had hit a tree and a man with multiple gunshot wounds inside.
Fire and EMS crews got the man out of the car and transported him to UofL Hospital where he died.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating, but has no known suspects and has made no arrests.
