The search continues for a drowning victim at Barren River near the bridge on River Street in Bowling Green.
Public Information Officer for Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Cody Fox said witnesses observed a man disappear under the water after swimming in the river near the rapids Saturday around 2 p.m.
On Sunday, he said the Army Corps of Engineers reduced the amount of water being discharged from Barren River Lake Dam, as the high water made the search more difficult.
Fox said Bowling Green Police, the Bowling Green Fire Department, Med Center, Warren County Emergency Management, Hart County Search and Rescue, and Barren County Rescue are conducting the search.
