Homicide detectives are investigating after a female juvenile was shot to death late Thursday night.
The investigation began after officers from the 6th Division were called to Norton Audubon Hospital around 11:30 p.m. after the victim arrived by private means, according to a news release from Louisville Metro Police.
Police determined the patient was involved in a shooting in the area of Preston Highway and Outer Loop a short time before arriving at the hospital, where she later died.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. There is no known suspect information to release. Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to call 502-574-LMPD (502-574-5673). Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the LMPD Crime Tip Portal.
