Investigators in Carroll County confirmed Saturday that four people died in a massive fire at a home in downtown Carrollton early Thursday.
Carrollton Police Public Information Officer Dave Roberts said crews found two victims early Friday morning, and pulled a third victim from the debris Friday afternoon.
Police said in an update Saturday afternoon the fourth victim had been located and all recovery efforts have ended.
The identifies of the victims have not been released at this time.
Heavy equipment was brought to sift through the rubble of the burned out home in the 200 block of 5th Street well into Thursday evening before suspending efforts and resuming the search early Friday.
Crews pulled a 3-year-old girl from the burning home Thursday morning after she was found collapsed on the floor near the back door of the house. Officials said Saturday she continues to improve at the hospital.
