Two parents in Madisonville are accused of endangering a small baby.
Police say they went to a mobile home on Dulin Street to investigate reports of drugs use.
They say nobody would answer the door, so they went to another home where they found 22-year-old Alexis Vannoy.
Officers say she is the mother of the premature five-month-old they were checking on.
Police say she first told them she didn’t know where the baby was, but then told them her child and the father were back at the first home they tried.
Officers say Vannoy went with them back to the mobile home, and the baby was alone in the living room.
They say the baby was very warm and had a full diaper.
Officers say the trailer was in bad shape and had no air conditioning or running water.
They say the baby’s father, Samuel Holeman, was found hiding in a back room.
Police say he had a warrant for failure to appear.
Due to the conditions of the home, which police say were a danger to the baby, both Vannoy and Holeman were charged with wanton endangerment.
