
According to Kentucky State Police Dispatch, the suspect who led police on a pursuit from Bowling Green to Hardin County Thursday afternoon has been caught and arrested.
A trooper stopped a car near the 61 mile marker on I-65 North in Hart County. At some point during the stop, the driver and trooper got into a fight. The driver then got back into his car and sped away.
The pursuit ended around 4 p.m. with a crash at the 85 mile marker on I-65 near the Glendale exit in Hardin County. The driver then got out of the car and ran into a nearby cornfield.
Police said the suspect was taken into custody just before 7 p.m. without further incident.
Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Elizabethtown Police Department in the capture of the suspect.

According to a Kentucky State Police Elizabethtown post dispatch,
Chris Denham, a spokesperson for the Elizabethtown Police Department, said Elizabethtown Police were asked to assist in a pursuit up the interstate.
As of 5:15 p.m., KSP dispatch said police vehicles were stopped along a long stretch of the interstate, officers standing with guns drawn while others search for the man in the area east of I-65 along U.S. 31 West.
KSP dispatch said shortly after 7 p.m. the suspect had been found.
BlueOval SK plant spokesperson Mallory Cooke said they “have secured our facilities based on information provided by local authorities.”
