Kentucky State Police Post 15 are investigating a fatal collision that occurred around 2:30 p.m. Friday on Kentucky Route 55.
A head-on collision occurred when Linda Young, of Jamestown, crossed the centerline of the roadway and entered the northbound lane and collided with a vehicle driven by Dana Arnold of Grand Rivers, according to the Kentucky State Police.
Linda Young and Chris Young, a passenger of her vehicle, were both pronounced dead at the scene by the Adair County Coroner. Arnold was transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital for serious injuries.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office, Adair County Fire and EMS, Adair County Rescue Squad, and the Kentucky State Highway Department all responded to the scene.
