Two people have been detained and evidence was recovered during a multi-department police operation that hit six locations in connection with the deadly Harvest Homecoming shooting earlier this month.
The New Albany Police Department, Jeffersonville Police Department, Metro SWAT Team, Louisville Metro Police and the ATF coordinated in an effort on October 27 to hit four addresses in New Albany, one in Jeffersonville and one in Louisville.
As a result of the operation, two individuals, one that the New Albany Police Department said has a direct connection to the case, were detained. Evidence, including guns, were also recovered.
Bryce Gerlach, 18 of Corydon, was killed in the October 12 shooting. A 22-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman were injured. police believe all three people who were shot were innocent bystanders and unrelated to the dispute that led up to the shooting.
