On Friday, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office spotted a man with active warrants of arrest operating a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox south on New Gallatin Road.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop after they recognized 29-year-old Floyd Price, of Scottsville.
Price did not pull over and initiated a pursuit. During the pursuit, Price was observed recklessly passing other vehicles in an attempt to get away. He eventually stopped near the intersection of Joe Shelton Road and New Buck Creek Road and exited his vehicle.
Deputies observed Price shouting upon exiting the vehicle. After attempting to give verbal commands and Price ignored them, at that point deputies deployed a taser to gain compliance.
Price was then taken into custody. He remains lodged at the Allen County Detention Center under cash bonds totaling $7,950.
Price was charged with:
Fleeing or evading police (first degree, $3,000 cash bond)}
Careless driving
Improper passing
Resisting arrest
Operating on a suspended or revoked operating license
Six counts of failure to appear ($4,950 cash bond).
