A collision left one person dead and three injured in Hart County over the weekend.
Just before 7 p.m. Saturday, Kentucky State Police responded to the two-vehicle collision in the area of 3770 Priceville Road, according to a release.
Investigation found that a 2014 Ford Fusion, operated by 24-year-old Mikhaela Kostas of Versailles, was traveling eastbound on Priceville Road when she attempted to pass other vehicles in the westbound lane. The vehicle then collided with a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado traveling westbound.
Kostas was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Hart County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the Silverado, a juvenile, and two juvenile passengers were transported to Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown for non-life-threatening injuries.
Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County EMS, Hart County fire departments and the Hart County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing by the Kentucky State Police.
