A traffic stop on Monday (11/11) of a reported reckless driver in Shelby County resulted in the arrest of two people and the seizure of a large amount of suspected cocaine.
After Shelbyville police stopped the car, their officers found an overnight roller bag with three sealed rectangular packages. Inside the package was approximately three kilos (8.1 pounds) of cocaine.
Police say the street value could be approximately $60,000 depending on the quality.
The occupants of the car, 20 year-old Edward Long and 22 year-old Rayiona Williams, both of Louisville, were booked into the Shelby County Detention Center. Both are charged with trafficking in a controlled substance.
