
A Kentucky juvenile has been charged after injuring a family member on Thanksgiving, according to the Hopkinsville Police Department.
Police said the 16-year-old and his aunt got into a verbal dispute that turned physical. After the fight, the juvenile fled to Clarksville, Tennessee.
Clarksville Police Department, Montogomery County Sheriff’s Office and Tennessee Highway Patrol were notified of the juvenile possibly being in the area. Hopkinsville Police Department also said the 16-year-old had cut off his ankle monitor while police were searching for him.
The 16-year-old returned to Hopkinsville and was arrested in the 500 block of Millbrooke Drive, according to Hopkinsville Police Department.
He has been taken to Paducah Juvenile Detention Center.
The aunt was flown to Skyline Medical Center in critical condition.
