A Hart County man was arrested Monday afternoon following a standoff with Kentucky State Police.
Kentucky State Police confirmed that 44-year-old Jayson Slater was taken into custody around noon at an apartment on Old Dixie Road.
The standoff began as officers attempted to serve an emergency protective order at the residence.
Authorities noted that police had also responded to the same location on Sunday night.
Criminal records show Slater has a history of charges, including a previous violation of an emergency protective order.
He now faces multiple charges, including another violation of an EPO.
