Court documents show 20 year-old Justice Grier, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, was arrested Wednesday for a Louisville double shooting on May 5 that left a man and an 8-year-old child injured.
According to an arrest warrant, the 8-year-old and his two brothers were playing basketball near the Heritage Green Apartments with their babysitter Greg and one of Greg’s friends. Police say that is when Grier and another man approached the group at the basketball court and asked which one of them was Greg.
Greg, the babysitter, identified himself. That is when Grier and the other man allegedly started firing at the group.
The babysitter was able to get away, but the 8-year-old child and another man were hit. The child had life-threatening injuries at the time.
Grier is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $250,000 bond. He is charged with two counts of assault and one count of wanton endangerment.
The second shooter has not been identified.
