
Louisville police have arrested a second person in connection to a shooting that happened on Black Friday in the Newburg neighborhood.
Damon P. Taylor, 44, was arrested on Tuesday, December 10 at his home on Taylor Boulevard. Louisville Metro police said the shooting happened around 2:15 a.m. at an auto painting business on Preston Highway near Forest Drive. When officers arrived, they found a man dead with a gunshot wound. The name of the victim has not been released.
Taylor has been charged with the man’s murder and was placed on a $1 million bond.
Police also arrested 34-year-old Anita Martinez of Louisville. An arrest citation said Martinez was arrested on Wednesday and admitted to police her involvement relating to the shooting.
She is being held in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections. She is charged with complicity to murder.
An arrest citation said police obtained surveillance footage from multiple sources showing the moments leading up to the shooting and after.
Taylor appeared in court on December 11 and is expected back next week.
