A man was hospitalized Tuesday morning after being shot while driving on Outer Loop in Okolona.
Louisville Metro Police spokesperson John Bradley said officers responded just after 11 a.m. to Interstate 65 North at Fern Valley Road to find the man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man is expected to survive, and officers determined the man was shot while driving on Outer Loop as he approached the I-65 North ramp. Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived to transport the man to UofL Hospital downtown.
The LMPD Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating the case.
