Kentucky State Police Post 03 in Bowling Green received a call Tuesday afternoon from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office requesting assistance regarding a fatal collision on New Glasgow Road (US 31E).
A preliminary investigation indicates a 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck, operated by 77 year-old Roger Tooley of Scottsville, was traveling south on New Glasgow Road. Tooley’s vehicle crossed the center line entering the northbound lane and into the path of a 2013 Kia Optima, operated by 40 year-old Amanda Robledo of Scottsville.
A passenger in Tooley’s vehicle, 81 year-old Rebecca Tooley of Scottsville, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Allen County Coroner’s Office. Roger Tooley and Amanda Robledo were airlifted to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, where Amanda Robledo later succumbed to her injuries.
Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
The collision remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
