
Elizabethtown Police responded to residence just before 7 a.m. Wednesday (12/18) regarding a death investigation.
The investigation revealed the victim was a 17 year-old male that has suffered a fatal drug overdose.
Within an hour and a half of receiving the initial call, our investigators identified the individual suspected of distributing the narcotics to the victim. By 9:30 a.m., that suspect, also a juvenile male, was located and taken into custody.
The juvenile suspect has been charged with Manslaughter First Degree, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance First Degree, and Trafficking in Marijuana. He was lodged in a juvenile detention facility.
In connection with this investigation, two adults were also identified and arrested.
Damian Felker, 18, of Elizabethtown, was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, Trafficking in Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He is being held without bond in the Hardin County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court on December 19.
Brandon Durbin, 36, of Elizabethtown, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He is being held in the Hardin County Detention Center under a $250,000 cash bond and scheduled to appear in court on December 19.
