An off-duty deputy with the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office observed a man that had an outstanding felony warrant on Friday (12/20).
The deputy contacted the Beaver Dam Police Department and when an officer tried to apprehend 30 year-old Sean McCoy, of Owensboro, he escaped through the back door of the business.
A K-9 unit with the sheriff’s office assisted the police department in trying to find McCoy.
He was later arrested during a traffic stop without further incident.
McCoy was arrested for his felony warrant on second-degree assault and wanton endangerment (first offense). He was also charged with fleeing or evading police.
He is being held in the Ohio County Detention Center under a $50,000 cash bond.
