The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation after a man was found dead in his vehicle following a crash.
Just before 3 a.m. Sunday, Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of single-vehicle accident in the 11000 block of Morgantown Road, according to a media release.
Upon arrival, deputies located a 2016 Jeep Cherokee that had struck a utility pole. They say a man later identified as 56 year-old Michael Scott Lee was found deceased in the vehicle.
Initial investigation revealed the man’s injuries were not consistent with the vehicle’s impact. Warren County Sheriff Office’s Crime Scene team and Criminal Investigations Division were then activated. The victim was transferred to Louisville Monday for an autopsy.
Anyone who observed anything of interest or out of the ordinary while driving along Morgantown Road, or observed by security cameras between 2 and 3 a.m. Sunday, is asked to contact the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and request to speak with a detective.
