A woman died after a shooting in Okolona on Saturday morning, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson Aaron Ellis said police responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of Lipps Lane, just off Preston Highway, around 10 a.m. When police arrived on scene, they found a woman outside who had been shot.
She was taken to the hospital, but died a short time later.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting, but there are no suspects.
Ellis said police are working to determine what led to the shooting and a possible motive.
