An infant has died after they drowned at a hotel in south Louisville early New Year’s morning.
Shortly before 4:40 a.m. on Jan 1, 2025, Louisville Metro police officers were called to a reported drowning on Airport Hotel Boulevard out in Edgewood, where Motel 6 Louisville – Airport/Fair Expo is located.
The officers found a baby believed to be three months old who drowned in the bathtub and gave CPR until EMS arrived to help. Despite these efforts, the baby died before they could be taken to the hospital.
