Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Bowling Green man for murder after allegedly staging a fatal crash.
According to Warren County Sheriff’s Office, 30 year-old Ali Fadil was arrested Thursday for the murder of 56 year-old Michael Scott Lee.
The sheriff’s office stated that on December 22, a passing motorist called the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 2:59 a.m. to report a crashed vehicle that struck a utility pole. When officers arrived, they found Lee deceased but said his injuries were not consistent with the wrecked vehicle.
After investigating, detectives found Lee was planning to meet an unknown person around 10 p.m. on December 21. On December 23, detectives received a lead that implicated Ali Fadil’s involvement.
Officials and FBI analysts were able to obtain additional information that substantiated the involvement of Fadil in the death of Michael Scott Lee.
He is being held in the Warren County Regional Jail under a $500,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 8.
