Police have arrested a man after a woman was stabbed to death in Okolona on Saturday afternoon, according to Louisville Metro Police.
LMPD Sgt. Matt Sanders said police responded to a stabbing in the 8000 block of Red Cedar Way near Outer Loop at 2:32 p.m. When police arrived on scene, they found a female with multiple stab wounds.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said in an update Sunday morning that Jamie Belton was arrested and charged with murder. Belton was found by Kentucky State Police at a rest stop in Midway, Kentucky.
He was booked at the Woodford County Detention Center.
