An Elizabethtown man was arrested on Thursday and charged with the death of a toddler, according to police.
On Tuesday, January 7, while babysitting two young children, 20-year-old Terrance Corbin called the girls’ mother to tell her the 18-month-old was not breathing normally, and eventually called 911 when she stopped breathing, according to Elizabethtown Police Public Affairs Officer Chris Denham. The responding officers quickly took the child to Norton Children’s Hospital.
Doctors said the 18-month-old was suffering from substantial bleeding around her scalp and face, along with multiple skull fractures.
The child died from her injuries on Thursday.
Corbin is now facing murder charges and is being held in the Hardin County Detention Center.
