For those who may park their car outside or own older models, the winter weather could cause trouble for your car battery.
Mechanics say there are a couple of things you can do to make your commute safer.
They suggest you check your car’s battery, windshield wiper fluid and heater to make sure they are in good condition in case of more snow.
They say without a good battery, extra things running in the car such as heat and defrosters can leave you with a no start problem.
Also one of the most important things you need to keep an eye on is the pressure in your tires. Even small changes in temperature can cause big changes in the pressure and if you aren’t sure what the pressure should be, you can find it inside on your door.

They recommend starting it up once a week just to get the power going and pushing the charge back to the battery since letting it sit draws power out of it.
It is a good idea to keep your gas tank at least half full just in case you get stuck in the cold.
