A month-long investigation came to an end Thursday afternoon when police recovered drugs at a home and arrested a man accused of drug trafficking.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office said their Anti-Crime Unit and Patrol Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Walnut Street, as a result of an investigation into illegal drug activity.
During the search, approximately four grams of suspected methamphetamine, 30 suspected fentanyl pills, cash and a cell phone were seized, and drug paraphernalia including a scale and tray were logged into evidence.
Police also arrested 32 year-old John Bilyeu in connection to the drug bust. He was charged with drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Christian County Jail under a $10,000 cash bond.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office said they remain committed to combating illegal drug activity and keeping the community safe.
