A structure fire destroyed a home in Russellville Tuesday morning.
According to the Russellville Fire Department, crews responded to a structure fire on Bowling Green Road around 7:30 a.m. after a passerby saw heavy smoke coming from the residence.
The first firefighter on the scene, Jake Burnett, went inside the structure and found a person inside sleeping. He was able to rescue the person from the structure before the fire fully engulfed the home.
Multiple electrical heaters were in use and suspected to be the cause.
