A brutal murder in Beaver Dam has county and law enforcement looking for answers.
Ohio County Sheriff’s Office says 81-year-old Norma June Greenwell, who lived in the home by herself, was found after they could not get in touch with her.
Sheriff Adam Wright said as of right now, it looks like this female who lives alone received a visitor at the door. This unknown person apparently, as soon as the door was open, began their attack and once inside the residence, they began going through items looking for stuff and then left.
Authorities estimate that Greenwell had been dead between 32-48 hours before her discovery.
According to the sheriff, his first response upon seeing the crime scene was that of anger, stating that no one deserved to die in such an awful manner, especially a defenseless elderly woman.
Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is working with Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, along with Kentucky State Police to search for any clues that could lead them to apprehending Greenwell’s killer.
They are also asking for the public’s help as well.
If anyone has information regarding this case, the sheriff requests they contact the sheriff’s office at 270-298-4444.
