A man is in custody after a standoff a SWAT team in Fairdale Tuesday.
For several hours on Tuesday, Louisville Metro Police Department said their SWAT and supporting units had surrounded a house in the 1300 block of Bridget Drive.
A spokesperson said there were multiple calls for service indicating a man was outside of his home firing his gun.
Prior to police arriving, 51-year-old Brad McKinley allegedly ran back inside the home.
Louisville Police said an arrest warrant was sought and signed by a judge for wanton endangerment and SWAT began asking the suspect to come out.
Time had gone by without any contact from McKinley and that is when SWAT went inside and found him hiding in the attic.
He was taken into custody without further incidents just after 7 p.m.
Police said no injuries were reported and there is no longer danger to the immediate public.
Police say the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
