A Bowling Green man has been arrested after police say he stole from a local business.
The Bowling Green Police Department apprehended 38 year-old Jammal Cooper at 403 Ethan Court Monday.
Officers say Cooper was identified after leaving a local store where he was previously known to have committed theft. With the assistance of store personnel, officers confirmed his identity and located his residence.
When approached by officers, Cooper attempted to flee but was detained after a brief foot pursuit, according to police.
Cooper is currently lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail on the following charges:
Receiving stolen property ($1,000 < $10,000) Obscuring the identity of a machine (covered license plate) Theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting Possession of marijuana Possession of drug paraphernalia Third-degree fleeing or evading police Police say Cooper has felony warrants out of Oldham County and Jefferson County as well. Detectives and officers say they are actively working to return stolen merchandise to multiple stores. Source: WBKO
