Authorities are investigating an explosion that left a woman with life-threatening burns in eastern Kentucky.
According to Kentucky State Police, the East Bernstadt Fire Department responded to a home explosion Wednesday afternoon. When firefighters arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames.
Shirley Wynn, 66, suffered severe burns over 80% of her body. She was eventually taken to a burn treatment center in Louisville, where she remains.
