
A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in the Algonquin neighborhood on September 2, 2024.
Louisville Police announced Sunday the arrest of 40-year-old Charles Miles on charges of murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon in connection with the Labor Day shooting death of Jamal Churn.
Churn was found with a gunshot wound in the 1600 block of Moore Court around 7 p.m. on September 2. Officers rendered first aid until EMS arrived on the scene and took him to UofL Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Miles was arrested in the 200 block of South 39th Street. He is being held in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.
