Icy road conditions caused two semis to slide off Interstate 65 and one crashed into a home on Hawkins Drive in Elizabethtown Thursday morning.
Officers say the crash happened around 4 a.m. on February 20. Two semi-trucks slid off the interstate near mile marker 91 into a residential area. One truck hit a home and the other hit a utility pole.
Elizabethtown Police spokesperson, Chris Denham, said fortunately the semis stayed upright and didn’t overturn and there no serious injuries.
One of the semi-truck drivers was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
It took crews several hours to clean up the area. Utility crews say the crash did not knock out power.
