An 18-year-old male has been charged with murder after a 15-year-old girl was stabbed to death on Saturday.
On March 1, Louisville Police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 5300 block of Buckner Avenue and officers arrived to find the girl with multiple stab wounds. She received immediate medical care, but died at the scene.
Officers were given a suspect description and found him near the Value Market in Iroquois Manor. The 18-year-old suspect, Kaden Seviour, who police said was the victim’s boyfriend, was detained after a short foot chase and was later charged with murder- domestic violence.
According to an arrest citation, a witness told police that she had heard the two in the bedroom. The 15-year-old girl asked to be let out of the room and tried to open the door but couldn’t. The witness said she went around to the back of the house, opened the window, saw the victim on the ground, and Seviour jumped out of the window.
Seviour is expected in court Monday, March 3, for arraignment.
Louisville Metro Police Department said all parties are accounted for and there is no threat to the public.
