Louisville Metro police are investigating the death of a man in a hit-and-run collision early Wednesday morning.
Around 5:40 a.m., Louisville Metro Police officers were called to the 9000 block of Dixie Highway on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found an adult man who was dead.
After examining the scene, investigators determined the man had not been shot but had been struck by a vehicle.
The name of the man has not been released.
The LMPD Traffic Unit is handling the investigation. They ask anyone with information to call the anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673).
