New developments are arising in the investigation into a Warren County man’s death.
On Wednesday, March 5, a Warren County grand jury returned an indictment charging 30-year-old Ali Fadil with murder, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
The charges come after 56-year-old Michael Scott Lee was found dead in his vehicle on December 22, 2024, following a vehicle collision. Investigators said Scott’s injuries were not consistent with the impact of the crash, and a death investigation was launched.
As a result of the investigation, detectives obtained information that Ali Fadil was involved with Lee’s death. On January 2, Fadil was arrested and charged with Lee’s murder.
It wasn’t until March 5 that information was also presented to the grand jury implicating Fadil’s father, Sabah Khadim, in the incident, according to Warren County Sheriff’s Office. Khadim was indicted for the charges of tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.
On March 7, detectives located Khadim at his residence and took him into custody. Khadim was lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond.
